There is an exciting opportunity for a band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join the echo service within NHS Grampian. This post is to be based at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin but there may be occasions when cross system working is necessary and the post hold may be required to cover clinics at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary or one of our rural hospital sites.
The department at Dr Gray’s consists of a Consultant Cardiologist, four Cardiac Physiologist, Three Assistant technical officers, one cardiac rehabilitation Nurse, one Cardiac Rehabilitation Physiotherapist and a Heart Failure ANP. The service has undergone development and redesign over the past two years and this work continues.
The service offers adult transthoracic echocardiography as well as bubble and contrast studies at the Dr Gray’s site. We also offer a range of other diagnostic testing including: ETT, ECG, Ambulatory monitoring as well as pacemaker implantation and follow up.
