Do you have experience working in a theatre environment or within decontamination services? Interested in taking on a high profile role that will drive improved outcomes and make a difference to the delivery of patient care across Scotland? Have a passion for delivering projects that could help us address the big challenges facing NHS Scotland?

The National Green Theatres Programme is looking for a motivated individual to lead an ambitious, high-impact project aimed at auditing and streamlining surgical instrument sets across NHS Scotland. The post holder will be comfortable working in close collaboration with a wide range of key partners and stakeholders, in both national and territorial Boards. They will be able to apply project management skills, draw on their subject matter expertise and have the ability to communicate a clear vision for change.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to secure clinical and operational engagement and support. They will exhibit an understanding of project management and improvement methodologies, with recognised expertise in practical application. The ability to work within a political context, a fast pace environment, managing deadlines and being responsive to changing priorities is essential.

This is a rare opportunity to engage in a high profile area of work that requires a passionate, motivated and value driven individual who will confidently lead, manage, develop and implement a complex initiative that will increase efficiencies across clinical pathways and reduce the carbon footprint associated with delivering surgical services in NHS Scotland.
