An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 part-time Receptionist in the Lerwick Health Centre. The Lerwick Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 8,600 patients.

In this busy and demanding post, you will find no two days the same – the Reception staff have a key role in answering queries from members of the public as well as typing letters and referrals. Previous experience of working in a GP Practice would be an advantage but training on the job will be given.

The expected working pattern will be 0830-1700 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity - Shetland is a wonderful place to live and work. You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on HCSW Standards and Codes.
