Job Title: Personal Assistant – Emergency Department

Shift Pattern

The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, with hours to be agreed. Please note that the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join the Emergency Department team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This role involves providing comprehensive and confidential support to the General Manager and Clinical Service Manager, ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of the department\’s administration, and supporting the wider management team.

Contract Details

This is a permanent, part-time position (29.6 hours per week), with flexible hours.

Candidate Requirements

  1. HND or equivalent in business administration.
  2. Significant experience as a Personal Assistant.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  4. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently, manage demanding timescales, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Knowledge, Training, and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and experience in taking accurate minutes. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
