Position Overview

Fixed Term for 12 months, Part Time 22.5 hours per week, Band 3 Salary £28,011 – £30,230 per annum pro‑rate plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum pro‑rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Support patients in the Outpatient Department across medical and surgical specialties.
• Perform venepuncture, 12‑lead ECG, diabetic feet screening, visual acuity tests and assist with aseptic procedures such as minor operations and eye injections.
• Develop clinical and communication skills and lead clinics independently.
• Comply with Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing.
• Join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or obtain an update before a formal offer.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experienced Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) or Senior Health Care Support Worker (SHCSW).
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Contract Details

This fixed‑term contract covers maternity leave. If wishing to apply as part of a secondment, discuss with a line manager before applying.
