GP Partner
We are looking for an experienced GP Partner with enthusiasm and energy to join our existing team. We are ideally looking for a Partner who would like 6 to 8 sessions per week. They will be motivated to contribute to our ethos of continuous improvement in patient care and be keen to contribute towards the successful management of the Practice. Our current list size is circa 9600.
We appreciate it is a challenging time for Primary Care but we are committed to excellent patient care built on great teamwork and maintaining a meaningful work/life balance.
We are based in the Scottish Borders, with the seaside only 20 minutes away and an easy commute to the Cities of Edinburgh and Newcastle. The area boasts good schools and is a great part of the country to raise a family. House prices are affordable.
As a training practice for GP Registrars, we have a strong commitment to professional development. All of this ensures the whole team works closely to provide high quality of care to our patients and community.
At present, we have 4 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 GP Locum, 1 ANP, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 Healthcare Assistant.
- Paperlite practice and currently use EMIS & Docman.
- We have an excellent team of Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Admin/Reception staff, all helping to give us excellent local Patient Survey results.

- 7 Weeks annual leave and 1 weeks study leave.
- No OOH commitment.
- MDDUS medical defence paid.
- Shared daytime on-call and home visits.
- In house Pharmacotherapy team, MSK Advanced Physiotherapy practitioner and Lifestyle Advisor support.
- Enhanced Services Providers (no extended hours requirement).
- Shared HC Building no buy in.
An ideal start date will be towards the end of 2025 however we are prepared to wait for the right individual.
