Decontamination Technician (NHS Scotland)
We have 4 vacancies for Decontamination Technicians to support the expansion of our reprocessing service across theatres, wards and clinics. The role requires enthusiasm, hard work and a commitment to delivering a comprehensive decontamination service for reusable medical devices in a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology and Urology.
Previous experience is not required. Full in‑house training is provided over a period of one year. A shift system is in place and will include a night shift. You will be expected to be completely flexible in your hours of work to suit the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive reprocessing service for the decontamination of reusable medical devices for theatres, wards and clinics.
- Work within a shift system, including a night shift, and maintain flexibility in working hours.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a team environment and have a positive attitude to learning.
- Be willing to work a flexible shift system.
