Position Details

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, from 0800 to 1600, with an alternative shift on Tuesday from 0800 to 1530.

Our Medical Equipment Management service ensures the safe and effective use of medical devices essential for diagnosis and treatment across hospital sites. The team comprises highly trained clinical engineer technologists managing over 55,000 devices, completing more than 60,000 jobs annually.

Role Responsibilities

You will be based at Gartnavel General Hospital, working as part of a team to maintain, commission, calibrate, and repair a wide range of medical equipment, including highly complex devices. Your daily tasks may include assisting in theatres with equipment failures, commissioning new devices, or performing scheduled maintenance in outpatient clinics.

Candidate Requirements

• Engineering or Technology knowledge to SCQF Level 9
• Postgraduate experience with medical equipment, including manufacturer training
• Experience in servicing, repairing, and fault-finding medical devices
• Understanding of clinical, scientific, and engineering principles related to medical devices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
