NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, part-time position of 10 hours per week.
The shift pattern includes one evening per week from 17:45 to 21:30, with remaining hours by agreement at Gartnavel Royal Hospital. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
The post involves providing administrative support to the Youth Health Service and associated programs. Hours are flexible but include one evening shift. The postholder may be asked to cover additional evening services to support colleagues\’ leave. The service offers holistic support to young people.
Key responsibilities include managing referrals, administering appointment systems, managing waiting lists and inquiries, liaising with the clinical team, and collating performance data.
Experience with systems such as Microsoft Office, CHI, EMIS WEB, PIMS, SCI Store, SCI Gateway, Clinical Portal, Care First, SSTS, EESS, FM First, etc., is desirable. Experience working with young people is advantageous. Essential skills include planning, organizing, prioritizing work, and effective communication with stakeholders, young people, and families. The core team is based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, but services are delivered across various venues in the city.
