To advise and liaise with business sponsors to specify, initiate, develop and manage multiple eHealth projects/programmes across NHS Lanarkshire, ensuring successful programme delivery within agreed budget/timescales which deliver benefits to the organisation. To support and assist in the development of existing and new systems across a range of services supported by eHealth, making best use to assist both service users and patient care. To provide an analysis facility within eHealth that contributes to the design, development and implementation of eHealth systems and promotes/supports the required cultural change and business process improvement within NHS Lanarkshire. This will require the post holder to elicit and interpret service requirements and produce the appropriate specification documents. To report problems in the use of supported eHealth systems to immediate line manager and others including Application Management staff, system suppliers and other key NHS Stakeholders. This post covers a highly complex range of related and interdependent projects and programmes of work within NHS Lanarkshire.
This job is based in the Digital Programme Team based at Kirklands hospital Lanarkshire. This is a hybrid role currently with 2 days minimum in office and 3 days at home. The post holder may be required to travel to different sites across Lanarkshire; the frequency of this will be based on the needs of the service.
What we’ll need you to bring:
- Educated to degree level preferably in a computer-related discipline or prove an equivalent level of experience.
- Substantial qualifying experience demonstrable through previous posts/roles working in an eHealth, clinical environment or comparable health service environment.
- Good understanding of Health Care processes and procedures underpinned by theoretical knowledge & practical experience.
- Well developed, professional, presentational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills required to interpret complex reports and information.
- Ability to understand complex information, diagnose system issues & formulate appropriate solutions.
- Awareness of business analysis and project management methodologies.
- Strong customer awareness/focus with the ability to negotiate and influence change at all levels.
- Excellent formal, informal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills required to prepare specification, scenario testing and systems appraisal documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Patient, methodical with good attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for extended periods and willingness to see problems through to satisfactory conclusion.

Location and Working Pattern: This role will be based in Digital Programme Team within Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters. This is a hybrid role, requiring employees to work from our office (Kirklands House) two days per week, with the remaining days available for remote work.
