The opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic proactive individual for a newly created key operational role within our Practitioner Performance Advice service. As Senior Operational Support Manager (SOSM), you’ll be providing operational leadership and support to your own team and overseeing the smooth delivery of services in a sensitive and complex casework environment. As a key member of the Assessment and Remediation management team, you will contribute to the effective functioning of the wider team and help to shape service delivery. In addition to your management responsibilities, you’ll carry your own caseload when required, for example drafting action plans for practitioners requiring performance improvement. This is a pivotal role in the team where you can use your management and casework experience to make a valuable contribution to our work supporting practitioners.

What You\’ll Be Doing
- Lead the operational management and provide line leadership for a dedicated team, with direct oversight of the services delivered.
- Ensure objectives and key performance indicators are achieved, supporting a culture of high performance.
- Drive service improvements to ensure operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Manage a caseload of complex assessment and remediation cases relating to practitioners with performance concerns, offering expert advice on challenging operational matters when required.
- Collaborate as part of the management team within the Assessment and Remediation Service, contributing to strategic decisions and providing operational support to senior colleagues.
