NHS Professionals requires pro-active and hardworking Catering Assistants to work within the catering department at Pinderfields Hospital. We have ongoing placement opportunities available for Ward Catering Assistants at Pinderfields Hospital. Ward Catering Assistants are responsible for assisting in the food production & ward delivery processes in NHS hospitals and other services making sure our patients and staff have highly nutritious, high-quality food.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Candidates will work as part of the catering team on the wards which plates up all the patients’ meals, delivers & clears.
- Washing the returning food trolleys, crockery, and cutlery.
- Any general cleaning that is needed.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in a similar role
- Food Safety L2 OR Food Hygiene Certificate (Mandatory and will need to be provided)
- Food hygiene knowledge
- A good understanding of spoken and written English
