Monday to Friday 08.00 – 16.00 (37.5 hours per week)
Band 3 – £13.60/hr plus accrued holiday pay
Are you experienced with clinical equipment with the skills needed to manage stock levels and handle several enquiries at once? We have an ongoing placement available for a Scan4Safety Equipment Officer at Trafford General Hospital. You will be managing the day-to-day inventory management of theatre equipment within the Hospital. You will be ensuring that a timely and effecting top up stock system is kept and maintained. You will need to be able to effectively work alongside various departments and manage the needs and expectations of numerous stakeholders at once.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Regular customer contact to ensure stock levels and the range of products held are regularly reviewed, reflect activity, and are updated in agreement with the customer.
· Receive, check, and put away all deliveries. Ensuring that items are rotated, stored in the correct location and the store areas are left tidy.
· Keep all associated paperwork regularly updated in line with code and location changes. To be responsible for ensuring that requirements are always met in the most cost-effective way possible, ensuring continuity of supplies.
· To adhere to departmental and trust operating procedures which apply to this post, being responsible for ensuring that work undertaken meets the needs of the end user.
· Make recommendations for the rationalisation of product ranges to ward leads. To implement and maintain service standards across key departments and wards, undertaking the day-to-day ordering activity on behalf of the customer, in line with agreed protocols.
· To undertake any other duties as may be required by the S4S Programme.
To be considered for this role:
· Role requires previous experience in a clinical environment, ideally with knowledge of medical equipment.
· Excellent customer service, organisation, and communication skills.
· Experience in Customer Service and/or Retail would put applicant at a distinct advantage with Stock or Inventory Management highly desirable but not essential.
· Physically able to work long hours on your feet.
· English and Maths qualifications desirable (GCSE or above).
· Ability to quickly learn the role and work at pace.
