In this role you will be required to:

  • Provide specialist podiatry services.
  • Assess, diagnose and manage the ongoing primary care of patients with 'at risk' foot health status (deficiencies in circulatory and neurological supplies and reduced tissue viability); patients with painful gait anomalies (through biomechanical assessment and the prescription/manufacture of appropriate orthoses) and patients with onychocryptosis (through the use of local anaesthetics and surgery).
  • Manage an identified caseload of patients and undertake all associated communication and liaison with other health care professionals.

What you’ll need:

  • Specialist wound care knowledge in treating and managing the high risk and ulcerated foot.
  • Car owner/Driver essential
  • BSc Podiatry (or equivalent - e.g. Diploma in Podiatric Medicine or Overseas qualification with equivalent BSc experience)
  • HPC registration, evidence of continuing professional development
