We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of maintenance services, including new works, minor capital projects, and system upgrades across the Trust. You will lead on compliance, safety, and operational improvements while managing contractors and in-house teams to deliver an outstanding service.
Temporary placement up to 6 months
Duties- Oversee and manage estates maintenance, ensuring statutory and safety compliance
- Lead on system changes, such as CAFM, BMS, and mechanical/electrical infrastructure upgrades
- Act as an Authorised Person (AP) or Responsible Person (RP) for at least two specialist disciplines (e.g., Medical Gas, Ventilation, Electrical Services)
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient service delivery
- Work closely with clinical teams, senior managers, and external contractors to maintain a safe and high-quality environment
- Participate in the Estates Manager on-call rota, providing support during out-of-hours emergencies
- A Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant estate discipline or equivalent experience.
- CAFM experience.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the service industry, including reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
- Previous NHS experience advantageous but not essential.
- Strong Building Engineering experience essential.
- Strong mechanical and Electrical knowledge is essential for effective problem-solving.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A commitment to fostering a positive team culture focused on excellence in service delivery.
