About the Trust
NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the local NHS organisation that plans and oversees how NHS money is spent and makes sure health services work well and are of high quality. The ICB’s role is to join up health and care services, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Sourcing packages of care or nursing home placements for patients either in their own home or acute hospital settings from NHS-approved providers
- Liaising with patients, their representatives, providers, hospitals, clinicians and the rest of the team to progress the patient through the process
- Being a point of contact for updates to both internal and external contacts, and providing reassurance and clarification to patient representatives
- Negotiating costs with providers to ensure the best rate is given and seeking appropriate internal approval
- Updating the department’s database with all correspondence, providing an audit trail, and ensuring funding is updated
- Maintaining confidentiality as the team works with patient records and sensitive information

- Previous admin experience
- Previous NHS experience
