The NWL System Coordination Centre supports the local implementation of the national OPEL framework (Operational Pressures Escalation Levels), which aims to assess emergency pressures across the NWL ICS, understand local system action to provide assurance and escalation where additional support is required. The operating model of the System Coordination Centre has a collaborative and supportive approach to all providers of care (local authority, primary care, community, mental health and acute) to ensure NWL best manages emergency pressures.
The post holder will be managing the day-to-day NWL System Coordination Centre management function, ensuring effective implementation of the agreed NWL surge management framework. There will be an expectation for the individual to understand performance systems within NWL and also to work collaboratively with colleagues across NWL. The NWL System Coordination Centre operates across a 7-day working week including bank holidays; therefore, the requirement would be for the post holder to work within a rota system to ensure the 7-day working week is maintained.
The post will be responsible to the Head of Performance and Planning and accountable to the Assistant Director of Planning and Performance.
Any applicant must demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills and have the ability to work under pressure.
