Overview

NHS Scotland welcomes applications for a permanent part-time Band 6 Physiotherapist (16 hours per week) in Cowal Community Hospital. This post is based in MSK outpatients and will occasionally include ward and A&E in reach.

The post holder will provide specialist theoretical and practical knowledge in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic outpatients by delivering direct patient care and supporting the training and development of physiotherapy staff across the operational unit. You will also supervise students on clinical placement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist MSK and orthopaedic outpatients care and contribute to the clinical governance of the unit.
  • Direct patient care and support training and development of physiotherapy staff.
  • Supervise students on clinical placement.

Qualifications and experience

  • BSc Physiotherapy or above qualification with current HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience with MSK, including evidence-based MSK assessment, treatment and management for highly complex clinical presentations.
  • Evidence of appropriate post-graduate MSK learning is desirable to support local orthopaedic pathways.
