Aberdeen Maternity Hospital PM203929 The Obstetrics Department at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital would like to invite candidates to apply for a full-time Obstetrics Consultant post. This post will include sessions on Labour ward including Obstetric on call and Antenatal clinics. It would be desirable if the candidate has ATSM in High Risk Pregnancy and/or experience in the management including scanning of twin pregnancies. This post is designed to allow flexibility in the proposed job plan, and existing colleagues are willing to negotiate areas of responsibility to fulfill overall service needs and attempt to ensure individuals can pursue their particular special interest areas. There are also formal departmental teaching and training responsibilities for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainees included in this post. The Unit is the designated tertiary referral unit for the North East of Scotland and provides a full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological services. The unit has responsibility for approximately 6000 deliveries and 9000 Gynaecology admissions per annum. Successful candidates will join a strong team of 23 Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, and academic staff. You will be fully supported by a thriving, friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward service and academic development. Appointees should ideally be on the specialist register.
