4-6 Session Partnership Opportunity at Dr Egerton & Partners
Kirkcaldy Health Centre, Whyteman’s Brae, Kirkcaldy, Fife. KY1 2NA
Dr Egerton & Partners are keen to welcome another GP partner to our team with a 4-6 session role commencing in April 2025. This role has arisen due to the planned retirement of a long-serving partner. We are a friendly and supportive team, consisting of 7 partners, 1 Practice nurse, 1 Diabetes Specialist Nurse, a Mental Health Specialist Nurse, excellent pharmacy support, and a very effective administrative team. The surgery has a patient list of just over 8000 patients, and we are conveniently based in health board owned premises beside the Victoria Hospital. We have an excellent working relationship with the very experienced treatment room nurses, phlebotomists, health visitors, district nurses, and community pharmacists who are also based in the building.
The partners meet each day for coffee and we also have weekly practice meetings. The surgery has a relatively low number of home visit requests each day. Furthermore, we follow the BMA guidance on the safe number of consultations per day which allows us to maintain a healthy balance of work and home life. The duty doctor role is generally very well managed and supported by colleagues.
There is no obligation to buy into the surgery as we work in health board owned premises. There is no time to parity in terms of earnings and you may be eligible to apply for a Golden Hello payment from the Trust. We are happy to offer suitable applicants locum sessions at the surgery.
Kirkcaldy is a historic seaside town in beautiful Fife with good transport connections to Edinburgh, St Andrews, etc.
Informal and confidential enquiries are welcome. Please contact the office manager Lynn Hunter (, Tel: 015926452338) who can arrange for an informal discussion with a GP partner.
