The predicted salary is between 60126 - 64906 £ per year.
Location: National Headquarters, Gyle Square, 1 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh, EH12 9EB. Candidates will be able to work remotely as travel may be required throughout Scotland.
Salary: 8a Ranging from £60,126 TO £64,906 per annum, dependent upon experience.
Hours per week: 37hrs; consideration will be given to candidates who would like to work both full or part time.
This is an exciting newly created opportunity to provide leadership and strategic direction through implementation of the national dementia strategy and delivery plan. The post holder will interpret national policy & professional standards & apply these to inform & lead the development of local strategies & policy to ensure a robust response within the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Qualifications:
- Educated to Masters Level with postgraduate or equivalent relevant qualifications.
- Extensive experience in one of the Allied Health Professions or in Nursing, including significant experience operating at a senior level in a complex, people-based organisation.
- Registered clinician engaged with local and national dementia networks.
- Demonstrated existing leadership in this area.
The post holder will be responsible to the head of mental health and dementia, and will have significant freedom & autonomy to progress towards their annual achievement.
To be successful in the role, you will also be:
- First level Registration with the HCPC or equivalent.
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience with highly developed professional knowledge of the subject area.
- History of achievement in areas of quality, practice development, research or policy and clinical practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to manage change.
- Flexibility and ability to work independently.
- Facilitation, problem solving, networking and project management skills.
