Funded by NSPCC, the role will be hosted by NHS Ayrshire & Arran, offering core support and dual accountability streams. What you will do: The role will deliver on key clinical and strategic outcomes, including developing training and supervision programmes for GIFT/IPS and NHS Staff. The role requires skills in intensive relationship-based assessment and individualised intervention, using a number of relationship-based therapies. Support is often offered to foster parents as well and close liaison with Social Work colleagues, the Children’s Hearing System and Adult Services is required. IPS draws on these same IMH approaches, working with families with children in parental care. IPS has been developed with parents with lived experience and is poverty and neurodiversity informed. Both services are being evaluated, and the team has close links with the Glasgow University Child Academic Team. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Post-graduate doctoral level training (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the BPS, including specific models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Extensive experience of the Infant/Child population is essential. Advanced specialist and practical knowledge acquired through post-doctoral training, CPD and supervision in additional specialist areas of psychological practice. Hours: 22.3 per week Driving Licence/Car Ownership: A driving licence and car ownership is essential for this post.
