The current department hours are Monday – Friday 08.30-16.30

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part time Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to clinically lead and professionally develop the Occupational Therapy team in within the Institute of Neurological Science (INS) in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. INS is a busy regional Neuroscience unit providing specialist Neurosurgical, Neurological and Maxillofacial surgery for the population of the West of Scotland.
Candidates must have a keen interest and experience in the acute management of neurological patients. You will clinically lead of a small team of Occupational therapists responsible for a highly complex varied caseload. You should have expert skills in the management of patients with physical and cognitive deficits and maxillofacial surgery experience would be advantageous. The team is supported by therapy support workers shared with physiotherapy and there is strong MDT working within the department.
You will require excellent communication and leadership skills along with a proactive and dynamic attitude and the ability to prioritise the caseload. The department has a strong commitment to both personal and service development and education of staff, support workers and students.
It is essential you have a Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration and evidence of relevant post graduate courses/ CPD. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
