Are you a pharmacy technician ready to take the next step in your career by joining a dynamic and innovative team? We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team of rotational pharmacy technicians. If you are a registered Pharmacy Technician (PT) or a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) who has completed your course and looking to register as a pharmacy technician by September 2025, we want to hear from you.
The post holder will work with both the pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams in a variety of technical roles across the hospital setting. Rotations include aseptic services, dispensary, distribution, clinical trials and patient-facing duties in clinical pharmacy services.
About The Role
This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician looking to gain a broad range of skills in hospital. You’ll:
- Play a key role in safe supply of medicines
- Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to optimise patients’ medicines and care.
- Support and develop other members of the pharmacy team.
- Participate in service improvement activities and delivery of education and training.
- Benefit from opportunities to undertake essential qualifications to support progression such as the HNC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Final Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician as well as other personal and professional development initiatives.

- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) by September 2025
- Possession of a National Certificate in Pharmacy Services and Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent
- A strong commitment to improving patient care through proactive, evidence-based pharmaceutical services
