Overview
Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Spinal Deformity Surgery
Post based in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) and the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, with some out-patient activity at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. This fixed-term, full-time fellowship is available from August 2025 for one year.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in paediatric and adult spinal deformity surgery as part of a designated national centre.
- Provide training in paediatric and adult spinal deformity surgery, ideally suited for trainees who wish to pursue a consultant appointment in full-time spinal surgery.
- Engage in surgical activity at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, with some outpatient activity at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.
- Contribute to clinical care, teaching, and service development as part of the orthopaedic/neurosurgical team.
Qualifications
- Orthopaedic or neurosurgical trainees who already have some experience of spinal surgery.
Employment details
Fixed Term, 40 hours per week, full-time post. Available from August 2025 for one year.
