Overview
Crewe Medical Centre is a large and busy GP surgery located in North West Edinburgh. We are seeking a new Practice Manager to lead our friendly team, which consists of five GP partners supported by three salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistant, Pharmacist, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, Link Worker, Mental Health Nurse and Administrative staff. We serve a diverse group of around 11,000 patients, including a higher than average number of people affected by deprivation.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the practice in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Oversee personnel management and financial management, including forecasting and budgeting.
- Work with local health-related community organisations and contribute to the practice’s ongoing development and teaching activities.
- Support GP specialist training and placements for FY2 doctors and medical students.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a management position in a healthcare setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong skills in personnel management and financial management/forecasting are required.
- Experience supporting with the day-to-day management of the practice is beneficial due to an experienced administrative team.
Hours, Salary and Conditions
Hours and working pattern are negotiable with the exception of a Monday, which will be required. Salary is dependent on experience and falls in the range £45,000 – £55,000 FTE.
