NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
There is a 37 hour and 22.69 hour post available and the shift pattern is 11.5 hours rotational over 24 hours and 7 days. The salary is pro rata for part time hours.
The Emergency Complex at Glasgow Royal Infirmary comprises the Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit, managing approximately 350 patients per day. The complex cares for a varied range of patients from the North East of Glasgow.
We require an experienced Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join our Emergency Department Team. You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group, competently performing the necessary technical, invasive and physical aspects of care. It is preferable that you are competent in extended roles (ECG recording, Venepuncture, Cannulation, as a minimum.)
Applicants should have previous experience of working in an Emergency Department or Acute Assessment Unit or equivalent Acute experience.
