DEPUTY RADIOPHARMACIST, RADIOPHARMACY & JOHN MALLARD SCOTTISH PET CENTRE, PHARMACY DEPARTMENT, ABERDEEN ROYAL INFIRMARY, NHS GRAMPIAN
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join the multidisciplinary team within the Radiopharmacy and John Mallard Scottish PET Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). The post holder will contribute to product release and quality management for both departments, which deliver diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals to the Nuclear Medicine department, focusing on cancer and heart disease studies, among other clinical applications.
Both departments are housed in purpose-built facilities, including a GMP cleanroom conforming to GMP 2017 standards. The PET centre features a PETrace 800 cyclotron and hot-cells, enabling the preparation of gallium-68 radiopharmaceuticals—the only facility in the UK using cyclotron technology for this purpose.
Applicants must be registered UK Pharmacists, have completed Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training (or equivalent), and possess (or be willing to undertake) a Post-graduate Diploma/Degree in Quality Assurance (PTQA).
