NHS Grampian is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Consultant in Public Health Medicine / Consultant in Public Health to join our progressive team.
This is a fixed-term post for 10 sessions a week, based in the beautiful North East of Scotland. We support a blended approach of home and office working, with the Public Health Directorate experienced in supporting remote work.
The Public Health Directorate is an integrated team of Consultants, Nurse Specialists, Public Health Practitioners, Analysts, Researchers, Managers, and Academics. We have established multi-agency collaborations with Local Authorities, Environmental Health, Education Authorities, and Health and Social Care partners. Our strategy aims to improve population health and reduce health inequalities.
Candidates passionate about addressing inequalities and achieving sustained health improvements are especially welcomed, along with experience in:
- Working in complex political and social environments to shape services and improve population health impact.
- Using data, research, and intelligence to understand complex circumstances, design solutions, and drive activity.
UK-trained candidates should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of GMC Specialist Register entry. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
Non-medical candidates must be registered as specialists on the UK Public Health Register and will be appointed on Agenda for Change T&Cs at Band 8D.
