Applications are invited for a Locum Appointment for Training (LAT). The post is available for Doctors at ST1, ST2, ST3, and ST4 levels. This is a one-year position from 6/8/25 to 4/8/26, with opportunities for paediatric sub-specialty experience. The role is based within the Children’s Services at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Unit at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic Department of Acute Paediatrics, supported by Senior, Middle Grade, and Consultant staff. Out-of-hours work as per rota is expected. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice is required, which must be in place before starting the post.
The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement has the necessary educational and Postgraduate Dean's approval. Applicants may be eligible for excess travel and relocation expenses, as detailed in NHS Circular PCS (DD) 2010/8. NHS Grampian’s relocation policy can be viewed online.
