215548 -Medical Receptionist

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Vacancy for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – 8am to 6pm

Alford Medical Group currently has a vacancy for a friendly, helpful, and motivated Medical Receptionist to work as part of our team.

Must have experience with GP software (Vision, Docman) and Excel.

Some flexibility in working hours is required, as additional hours may be needed by mutual agreement to cover holiday or illness.

The Duties

1. Dealing with patient appointments, both at reception and on the phone
2. Registering and maintaining patient records
3. Handling patient queries, including requests for prescriptions, test results, and general information
4. Using software such as Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel, etc.
5. General administration tasks
6. Performing any other duties as required from time to time

1. Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
2. Respond quickly, efficiently, and helpfully to all enquiries and requests
3. Ensure accuracy when completing tasks
4. Adapt to changing demands and priorities
5. Support and assist colleagues
6. Listen carefully, ask relevant questions, and understand instructions—seek help when needed
7. Handle difficult situations well
8. Maintain confidentiality

Salary depends on experience. You will be eligible for membership of the NHS pension scheme.
