Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and hard-working individual to undertake the role of Waiting list advisor for the ADT Management Team. This role will be pivotal to support the Operational Managers, Business Managers & Operational Support Managers. You will be responsible for maintaining the waiting list database for a selection of specialties, ensuring all patients data is relevant and accurate. You will also take ownership of improving clinic capacity on the day in outpatient clinics, along with arranging pre-op appointments to help maximise theatre waiting lists, to general housekeeping and admin for the whole department.
It is essential that you can work as part of a large team, also use your own initiative on several daily tasks. You must be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills. You will manage your workload efficiently and be able to work under pressure but still be able to complete your workload to a high standard.
You must have previous clerical experience, knowledge of office procedures and a working knowledge of IT & Microsoft applications, databases, spreadsheets, ideally exposure to electronic patient records. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records for the department, photocopying, dealing with emails, telephone calls from patients and other administrative duties.
Good organisational skills are vital for this role, especially when working to meet deadlines and the demands of the ADT Management Team. It is essential that the post holder ensures confidentiality be always maintained when dealing with patient/staff information. Flexibility is essential in your approach to work.
