Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to work within our District Nursing teams. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out routine care for patients under the supervision of a District Nurse or Registered Nurse. You should have excellent communication skills, including effective written communication, and a good working knowledge of IT systems.
The role includes clinical skills such as venepuncture, medicine administration, catheter care, and other clinical investigations, which can be performed independently following appropriate training. You will also be involved in caring for palliative and end-of-life patients in their own homes.
You will support other team members, including staff nurses and student nurses, and carry out duties to meet patient needs, ensuring appropriate care.
The role requires the ability to work independently, refer issues to registered professionals when necessary, and travel throughout the area to provide patient care. Willingness and ability to travel are essential.
