The post holder will be responsible for oversight of professional development of Dental Foundation trainees. You will be part of a team responsible for monitoring and improving standards for Dental Foundation training across the region. You will co-ordinate quality assessment and management of educational and clinical supervisors (trainers) relevant to the needs of Dental Foundation training.

The Training Programme Director will focus on improving learner supervision, assessment, and experience, engaging faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. The role is evolving and will also focus on workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Dentist with a thorough understanding of Dental Foundation training across the region, possessing strong leadership and communication skills, and able to work effectively as part of a multi-professional team.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in person.
