Are you passionate about improving how we manage governance, risk, and compliance in digital services? We\’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Governance, Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) directorate at NHSBSA.

Role Overview

In this role, you\’ll help shape and maintain governance, risk, and compliance frameworks across DDaT, working closely with senior colleagues to assess risks, monitor compliance, and support improvement. You\’ll interpret complex regulations, promote best practices, and build strong relationships across teams.

As a GRC Analyst, you\’ll support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. You\’ll work with senior leaders to identify risks, develop control measures, and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and NHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain risk registers and coordinate audits.
  2. Prepare reports for leadership and regulators.
  3. Investigate incidents and breaches, sharing lessons learned.
  4. Support training and awareness initiatives to foster a compliance culture.
  5. Analyze risk and compliance data to inform decisions and service improvements.
  6. Advise teams on best practices and develop policies and processes.

Candidate Profile

Strong communication and analytical skills, with experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Assurance, or Audit, preferably within the NHS or public sector. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
