Job Summary

NHSBSA Provider Assurance works on behalf of NHS England to ensure the accuracy of contractual data, monitor performance, and identify risks. These activities help prevent inappropriate payments and promote quality improvements through education or policy changes.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Provider Assurance Team, you will ensure NHS community Primary Care Contractors are paid correctly. Collaborating with clinicians, healthcare teams, and managers, you will review information, analyze data, and produce reports with recommendations. Building relationships with contractors and NHS stakeholders, you will contribute to service improvements, maintaining high security and confidentiality standards.

Job Description

In this role, you are accountable for:

  1. Carrying out casework according to governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate records.
  2. Managing your workload to ensure effective outputs.
  3. Interpreting data from records and stakeholders.
  4. Identifying contractors or activities for review exercises.
  5. Managing review exercises and recovery of overpayments.
  6. Understanding regulations and analyzing data for evidence-based decisions, escalating risks as needed.
  7. Producing reports with recommendations for action.
  8. Liaising with stakeholders to discuss cases.
  9. Communicating effectively via writing and phone, resolving queries, and providing excellent customer service.
  10. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting information promptly.
  11. Discussing report content with contractors and NHS staff, managing confrontational situations professionally.
  12. Contributing to workload planning.
  13. Participating in quality assurance activities and casework reviews.
  14. Developing and owning objectives aligned with service goals.
  15. Monitoring and evaluating performance with feedback.
  16. Using HR policies to support performance and organizational values.
