An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered General Nurse to join our Oncology Nursing Team in the Day Case Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Day Case Unit, Borders Macmillan Centre, Borders General Hospital, Huntlyburn, Melrose, TD6 9BS.

Demonstration of compassion and empathy is essential for caring for people with cancer and respectful team working. Applicants are required to have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Commitment to undertake further study in the safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) is expected, to be able to independently perform pre-SACT treatment assessments, including protocol-guided analysis of blood results and SACT administration. The post is based in a Nurse Led SACT delivery, day care unit; therefore, competency and experience in this field are desirable but not essential. Professional development opportunities are supported.
