Senior Community Engagement Co-ordinator – NHS Blood and Transplant. Join to apply for the Senior Community Engagement Co-ordinator role at NHS Blood and Transplant.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the delivery of regional engagement and ensure we have the right volume and mix of donors to meet patients’ needs, today and in the future.
  • Develop a local plan of activity that supports the organisations aims and objectives.
  • Coordinate and deliver local activities that promote the registration and donation of RO blood, with a focus on high Black Heritage populated areas.
  • Consider how the role can raise awareness and deliver against organ, plasma, stem cell and bone marrow donors.
  • Proactively engage local community groups/partners, event leaders, businesses and Community Grants Programme NHSBT funded projects, as agreed with line manager / strategic plan to meet objectives.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure contact with partners and stakeholders is managed consistently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the marketing campaigns team to progress opportunities for campaign activity identified through partnerships.

Willingness and ability to travel, spend time away from base, and work weekends or bank holidays as required, particularly during campaign periods to meet the role’s requirements and deliver objectives.

About You

Experience and Knowledge

  • Practical marketing experience with a track record of delivering positive results and customer benefits.
  • Enthusiastic and personable, able to build strong relationships with the public, donors, and corporate, charity, and public sector contacts.
  • Skilled in gathering and analysing information to inform decisions and strategy.
  • Committed to excellent customer care and responding effectively to customer needs.
  • Experienced in planning and delivering events.
  • Proficient in social media, print, digital and email communications, with flexibility to take on new challenges.

Qualifications And Training

  • Degree or degree equivalent knowledge
  • Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD)
