The Clinical Audit Team is responsible for the promotion, development, implementation and integration of clinical audit activity across NHSBT, supporting the continuous improvement of the quality of care provided to patients, donors and customers. You will become part of a committed, multi-skilled and proactive professional team, using your specialist expertise, and learning new skills every day. This is a fast moving and variable environment.

This role is essential and will directly contribute to the saving and improving of patients\’ lives. Main duties of the job

In this role you will be responsible for the promotion, development, implementation and integration of clinical audit activity across NHSBT, supporting the continuous improvement of the quality of care provided to patients, donors and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to the Senior Clinical Audit Facilitator to promote, develop and implement clinical audit in NHSBT.
  • Acting as an expert resource to clinical teams on the planning and implementation of clinical audit projects, designing practical methodologies, data collection and data analysis and assisting with the dissemination of findings.
  • Facilitating the integration of clinical audit into daily practice to ensure that donors and patients receive quality services and care
  • Providing training and support to staff required to undertake clinical audit
  • Ensuring a timely, accurate and relevant response is made to all who contact the Clinical Audit Team

You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice

About You

Experience and Knowledge

  • Clinical Audit or Research experience
  • Working experience of an NHS/Healthcare setting
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present clearly and concisely in written and verbal reports
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver presentations to a target audience
  • Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)

Qualifications and Training

  • Graduate in a relevant subject area or relevant experience to degree level
  • Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD)
