The Scottish Trace Element and Micronutrient Diagnostic and Research Laboratory (STEMDRL) is a commissioned service by National Services Scotland that provides analytical and clinical interpretation for a range of nutritional and toxicological problems involving essential and toxic trace elements and vitamins for the population of Scotland.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the scientific director and principal clinical scientist.
- Develop and support the complex analytical methodologies required to provide this National service.
- Provide clinical advice and interpretation of micronutrient results.
Qualifications:
- Post‑graduate qualification (MSc, PhD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists.
