Locum Advert – August 2025
Dedridge Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic and caring doctor to join our friendly, supportive, and sociable practice as a maternity-cover locum.
The post will run from 15th September 2025 until end of June 2026 and is a 6 to 8 session position. There is however some flexibility with sessions and start dates.
We envisage the post to incorporate the usual range of GP workload including mail, scripts and Duty Doctor cover. The post will be paid at a competitive rate in addition to 4 weeks paid leave per year.
Dedridge Medical Group has a committed dynamic team comprising six GP Partners and three salaried GPs working alongside a highly skilled nursing team including two ANPs and a friendly and helpful administrative staff. Additionally, we benefit from inhouse Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Community and Pharmacy Technicians, Practice Mental Health Nurses, and a Community Link Worker. Together we provide a full range of high-quality primary care services for a mixed demographic population of 11,000 patients. We pride ourselves in being mutually supportive incorporating a daily clinician catch up at morning coffee. We also recognise the importance of ensuring a good work/life balance in allowing us to maintain provision of high-quality patient care.
The practice is based in Livingston, West Lothian, close to the local District General Hospital and conveniently located in the Central Belt of Scotland. The town is within a short commute from the beautiful city of Edinburgh, where most of our doctors live, providing excellent schools and all the amenities of the Festival city.
