KM228559 – New Graduate Nurse – Band 5 NGN
Location: Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotational days and nights
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, person-centred care as a registered practitioner.
- Support individuals with complex needs and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Carry out clinical tasks such as patient observations, wound care, NEWS scoring, and psychosocial interventions.
- Use digital systems for documentation and communication.
- Participate in supervision and contribute to team development.
Qualifications
- A degree in Mental health/learning disability nursing.
- Relevant care experience (mental health or learning disabilities preferred).
- A caring and compassionate approach.
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including nights.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and recovery-focused care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Emotional resilience and ability to support individuals in distress.
- Digital literacy and willingness to use electronic patient record systems.
- Willingness to support learning and contribute to service improvement.
