Rothes Medical Practice is seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.
17-20 hours per week
Permanent
We are a well-established, forward-thinking practice based in Pitteuchar Health Centre, a modern, purpose-built facility with excellent access to the A92. We care for a patient population of approximately 8,800 and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
Our Team
You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team that includes:
- Five GP Partners and a SCOTGEM GP
- Three Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs)
- Two Practice Nurses
- A Practice Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- A Health Care Support Worker and Treatment Room Nurse
- NHS Fife Mental Health Nurse, Health Visitor, and District Nursing teams
- NHS Fife Pharmacists
- A highly skilled and supportive administrative team
The Role
Skills
We are looking for a friendly, proactive nurse with excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care. The role includes:
- Chronic disease management (COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, CVD)
- Running autonomous clinics
- Promoting healthy lifestyles and self-management
- Taking smears
Training will be provided for the above.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Primary Care setting is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to undertake the NES General Practice Nurse course, fully supported by the practice
- A team player who is adaptable, organised, and committed to continuous learning
