We are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Lead to join our team. The role is critical to ensure the integrity of the financial systems, supporting the accurate management of payroll related financial processes, and delivering robust ledger analysis. You will have advanced Oracle system expertise, strong excel skills, and a knowledge of payroll processes. You will provide key support for maintaining accurate payroll transactions, ensuring balance sheet and reconciliations are completed on time, and strengthening the financial controls across the ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the review and reconciliation of balance sheet codes.
- Investigate, clear, and resolve historical issues and aged balances on the balance sheet to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver high-quality ledger analysis and provide insights into key trends and risks across the balance sheet.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing detailed and accurate information on payroll and balance sheet processes.

- Competitive Pay (AFC Band 6) £37,338 - £44,962 per annum pro-rata, dependant on your experience and the number of years you have worked in the NHS.

Experience and qualifications required include:
- Part qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience in NHS or public sector finance.
- Extensive experience of Oracle financial systems in a financial environment.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and payroll related financial controls.
- A pro-active problem solver, comfortable with investigating issues and proposing solutions.
