Are you a registered Nurse with a background in Senior Clinical and Operational Management?

We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced candidate to provide professional clinical and operational leadership in our Digital Healthcare setting, delivering care to the public.

As our Associate Director of Operations and Nursing, you will be responsible for clinical and operational service delivery KPIs, while providing expertise and advice to the NHS 24 Board and the Executive Team.

As a senior management team member, you will work in partnership with Partner Health Boards and other key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current valid NMC registration
  • Extensive senior clinical and operational management experience within the NHS across various service areas
  • Experience leading large, diverse operations with clear KPIs and performance frameworks
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills
  • Proven change management capabilities

NHS 24 is a vital part of Scotland\’s health and social care system, providing urgent care responses 24/7, 365 days a year. We offer clinical assessment, referral, health advice, and information via phone and digital channels. We support the NHS system and develop digitally enabled services to meet evolving health needs.

Our staff span across five regional centers and remote locations, including Aberdeen, Dundee, South Queensferry, Cardonald, and Clydebank. We support hybrid working; the role can be based at any regional center, with travel as needed across Scotland.
