Assistant Housekeeping Manager

For nhow London, we are looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager who will play a key supporting role to the Executive Housekeeper indelivering key quality and cleanliness standards all year round.As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, your role encompasses overseeing daily housekeeping operations; ensuring exceptional guest service and upholding the hotel standards through effective leadership of the housekeeping team.

Main responsibilities of our Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Assigns team members their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness in line withthe hotels standard operating procedures.

Prepares and distributes the Room assignment sheets and floor keys to the staff.

Schedules the cleaning of rooms,lobby area, public restrooms, telephone areas, hallways, entrances, elevators and meeting rooms.

Schedules periodic major cleaning projects including carpet shampooing, cleaning of walls and baseboards, cleaning of windows, elevator doors and tracks.

Inventories cleaning supplies & linen stock to ensure adequate supplies.

Investigates concerns regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action.

Reviews outside laundry facility servicing to ensure quality, undamaged linens and consistent delivery, keeping in mind the budgetary guidelines.

Co-ordinates with vendors eg: Pest control, Laundry services and other outsource services.

Attends to any guest complaints and takes service recovery measures if required.

Submits requests for repair and periodic maintenance of cleaning equipment.

Prepares store requisition, purchases other supplies and equipment, also monitors par stock on all housekeeping guest supplies and linens.

Knowledge and skills

Minimum 2 years housekeeping experience in a supervisory capacity/2 years line level experience in all aspects of the Housekeeping department.

Fluent in English.

A charismatic and confident communicator in every sense, positive attitude and approach.

A Strong conceptual thinker.

Highly organized and ability to multi-task in a driven manner.
