Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Ltd is seeking a Non-Executive Director to join our Board. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of an organisation that delivers vital estates, facilities and support services across Northumbria Healthcare. We are looking for an individual who can bring an independent perspective, strong judgement and a commitment to ensuring our decisions remain grounded in the needs and experiences of our workforce and the communities we serve.
Candidates do not need to have previous board experience. We are interested in candidates who are naturally curious, willing to ask insightful questions and able to provide constructive challenge to the Executive Team. Equally important is the ability to listen, engage and build relationships, ensuring that a wide range of voices are heard. We are seeking someone who can act as a voice for those whose perspectives may not always be represented around the Board table and who is passionate about staff engagement, inclusion and organisational culture.
We welcome applications from people with lived experience, frontline operational insight, commercial expertise or experience of leading change in complex organisations. Above all, we want to attract diverse candidates who will bring fresh thinking, broaden the Board’s perspective and strengthen the quality of strategic challenge and decision-making to sit alongside two experienced Non-Executive Directors.
If you share our commitment to public service, inclusion and continuous improvement, and can help us shape the future direction of NHFM, we would be delighted to hear from you.
The closing date for applications is Monday 2nd November 2026.
NRG Executive are supporting Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Ltd (NHFM) who area a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust with these appointments and can provide further information about the roles, the organisations and the appointment process.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they can meet the time commitment required for the relevant appointment and comply with any eligibility requirements associated with the role.
