Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate Senior Trainer to lead the delivery of our Groundworks Apprenticeship Programme at Northstowe. You will deliver engaging, high‐quality apprenticeship training focused on groundworks, ensuring learners are fully supported from enrolment through to End Point Assessment. This is a hands‐on role where you will make a real impact, developing skills, promoting excellence, and upholding NHBC's commitment to outstanding training provision across the sector.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Deliver high‐quality groundworks apprenticeship training and assessment to enable learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with employers and apprentices to support progress, provide feedback, and maintain strong engagement throughout the programme.
  • Keep training materials current and aligned with industry standards, NHBC requirements, and regulatory bodies such as Ofsted and ESFA.
  • Support continuous improvement in apprenticeship delivery through curriculum development, learner support, and feedback reporting.
  • Promote NHBC's training offer across the construction sector, helping to raise standards and strengthen industry partnerships.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering successful apprenticeship training, ideally within the construction or housebuilding sector.
  • A solid technical background in groundworks, with relevant trade qualifications (minimum Level 2).
  • Teaching or assessing qualifications (or working towards them) and experience supporting learners to End Point Assessment.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to adapt training to suit different learning styles.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence using digital tools for learner tracking and reporting.
  • A full driving licence and a passion for helping others develop their skills and careers.
