Salary: £55,000.00 - £59,500.00 (depending on experience) + 10% performance bonus

Working Location: Milton Keynes/Hybrid

Job summary: Procurement and outsourcing are integral to NHBC’s business model and the successful delivery of its trading activities. The Procurement Business Partner (BP) will provide comprehensive, coordinated procurement services to NHBC for the category related goods and services in alignment with NHBC’s Procurement and Supplier Management Policies and Processes. The BP will act as a central point of expertise for all matters relating to procurement of the relevant category/s and as an advocate for Procurement, promoting the policy, process and best practice whilst ensuring regulatory compliance is met. The BP will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and deliver category strategies for over £6.5M spend per annum, across a supply base of c.150 suppliers, meeting the needs of the internal customer whilst ensuring compliance with NHBC’s Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management Framework Policies and Procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to deliver category strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes from supplier due diligence through to contract management
  • Ensure supplier compliance and manage risk throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Source goods and services efficiently using e-Procurement tools to achieve best value
  • Provide expert procurement advice and deliver clear reporting (MI, KPIs, compliance, benefits)
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers to support collaboration and performance
  • Support supplier relationship management and drive value through partnerships
  • Work with Legal, IT Security, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement using procurement best practices
  • Promote sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible initiatives across the supply base
