Job summary:
We’re looking for a commercially focused Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Business Partner to help us drive real, measurable change across NHBC. This role is all about delivering business impact by embedding inclusive practices into everything we do, from recruitment and leadership to communications and culture. You’ll partner with key stakeholders across the business and HR, acting as a trusted expert to make sure DE&I is not just a strategy but a core part of how we operate and grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of NHBC’s DE&I initiatives.
- Advising senior leaders and HR teams to integrate inclusion across people policies and processes.
- Supporting employee network groups to amplify their impact across the business.
- Partnering with L&D to develop inclusive leadership and learning content.
- Creating impactful DE&I campaigns and communications in partnership with Internal Comms.
- Working with Talent Acquisition to improve representation across the candidate journey.
- Using data and insights to track DE&I performance and make evidence-based decisions.
- Benchmarking against external best practice to evolve our DE&I strategy.
- Managing key external DE&I partnerships and suppliers.
- Acting as NHBC’s DE&I subject matter expert internally and externally.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a DE&I role with strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable advising and influencing senior leaders with confidence.
- Strong commercial mindset and a focus on business outcomes.
- Skilled at using data to create insights and drive action.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Knowledge of the employee lifecycle and wider HR practices.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and people-focused approach.
- CIPD or equivalent DE&I qualification (MCIPD desirable).
